It all started when…
I have been baking since childhood. With my tiny rolling pin I would roll out mini crusts beside my Mom and put my little tarts in the oven alongside her pies. She would sprinkle flour on my face and say, "now you're a real chef!"
After attaining my culinary arts degree, I worked in an array of roles in various restaurants for more than 10 years. Seeking steady hours, an attempt at a “regular day job” followed. An injury forcing me to be off work for months gave me the opportunity to see my life for what it was….and wasn’t. I began meditating, working out, eating healthy and most importantly rediscovering my love for baking! This is where Sweet Jules Bakes was born. I left a relationship, home, city, and outlook for a fresh start and focus on what really makes me happy. As a solo woman living in Oshkosh every day since is a new adventure.
As I healed from my injury I continued working nonstop building up my business while returning to overtime during the day. In late July 2021 a decision finally had to be made. I quit my day job to pour everything into my chosen path. After working out of a shared kitchen in Appleton all those years I am very proud to say that Sweet Jules Bakes can now be found at 9 Church Avenue in Oshkosh, at my very own brick and mortar having had our Ribbon Cutting March 2nd, 2023.
